The world of OM, ‘Officinali di Montauto', is an industrious oasis in which life flows in accordance with nature.
Located on the coastal region of Tuscany , OM is an organic farm where the classic plants of the Tuscan Maremma spontaneously grow and are lovingly cultivated in 130 hectares of land.
OM has developed its own extracts and essential oils into a full line of natural cosmetics, food supplements and herbal tea.
The extensive plot of land in the wildest and oldest part of the Maremma has a distinct Tuscan and Italian identity, further emphasised by our decision to maintain a sound rapport with the territory; by this we mean we cultivate only the mediterranean flora, not exotic plants.
The plants of the OM holding, picked at the most favourable time of year, are processed i.e. distilled and dried, in laboratories not far from the fields avoiding long transportation and sudden changes in temperature which alter the freshness of the medicinal herbs.
This contributes to the quality of the finished product. On the whole, over 30 types of mediterranean flora are cultivated in Montauto, subsequently found in he limited selected line of OM skin treatments, in its herbal tea and food supplements.
The industrious oasis of Montauto has acorresponding one in the heart of Milan.
Dropping by the OM agricultural outlet in Corso Magenta 12, is like hitting the pause button on a recorder.
The outlet is ocated in an elegant and almost secret octagonal courtyard, where visitors can be enticed in by the scent of herbs.
The curiousity of those who venture in is immediately rewarded: here is a place to speak calmly, obtain explanations and information on the nature of the OM products, on their beneficial properties, on the herbal cosmetics or to simply acquire products of assured quality at an affordable price.
Entering the OM Agricultural Outlet is like taking a walk in Tuscany yet staying in the centre of Milan.
